Keeping
your families water clean and safe.
Sediment Filters
A few weeks ago the fire department was testing the hydrants in our
neighborhood, I didn't think much of this until I turned on the out door
faucet. Dark red Georgia mud gushed from the spigot. There
was so much dirt, that it made me thankful that our indoor faucets were
connected to a water filtration system, but it also made me wonder how
much dirt had my family and I unknowingly ingested every day before we
installed our system. Water filtration is easy, simple, and an
effective way to provide your family with clean and clear drinking
water.
Sediment and particulate matter are found within municipal water
supplies, despite the best efforts of state and federal governments
concerns. Chlorine or other chemicals are added to the water to
help free the water from contaminants, however even the most efficient
water treatment plants cannot rid all of the sediment from the water.
Therefore, water filtration systems are the best way to protect yourself
and your family by removing an average of 99% of all sediment. A
Sediment filter is a fine screen that permits water to pass through, but
traps approximately all of the sediment, preventing it from reaching
your drinking glass.
Filtered water, looks, smells, and tastes better, but it is also better
for you. However, you must remember that sediment will build up over
time on the filter, and the filter must be replaced at regular intervals
to ensure you are receiving the best quality water possible.
The system that I have requires little maintenance, and suggests that
the filter be replaced every six months. However, after having so
much dirt in my lines, I decided to replace the filter early, when I
went online the customer service representative noticed that I had just
replaced the filter and when I explained what had happened, the company
replaced my filter for free. Now that's customer service.
