Refrigerator Water Filter
Water filters for your refrigerator water are used in refrigerators with
water filtration system. The filter improves both taste and
quality of the drinking water, which comes from the refrigerator and
will eliminate odors and impurities from your ice
as well.
When replacing the refrigerator water filter, make sure that you
purchase the brand made for the make and model of your fridge.
Many of the filters do look alike, however if you have one brand of
fridge, and mistakenly pick up a filter for another brand, it may not
perform as it should, letting impurities to enter your drinking water
and ice. Also, pay attention the model number as well for the same
reason.
The location of the filtration system on refrigerators differs from
brand to brand and from model to model. In addition, read your
owner's manual, some high-end refrigerators have separate filters for
the icemaker.
There are universal filters currently on the market, which perform as
well as the filters especially made for your refrigerator and at a less
cost. Before purchasing any filter read the product's performance
data sheet, which will list the contaminants the filter is certified to
remove and at what percentage.
